To the <del>millions</del> handful of Ninth North fans out there, I do apologize for the lack of news over the past several months. There is truly no excuse. Things have been very busy, very hectic, but I assure you: There will be updates aplenty. Soon.

For now, I'd like to tell you about a bridge that needs some help, and it happens to exist right here in Tampa Bay. It's the Friendship Trail Bridge, and it's scheduled for demolition in a matter of weeks. For nearly a decade, the bridge was used as a recreational pedestrian and bicycling trail open to all residents (and tourists, for that matter). While the bridge could use some TLC, studies indicate that it's likely strong enough to remain intact without major restoration until 2029.

Bike Sharing is coming.

Today I am more than delighted to introduce myBike, a bike sharing concept rolling out to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2012.
The verdict is in, folks: St. Petersburg is one sad sack of depressed losers. According to Men's Health, if we aren't trying to kill ourselves with antidepressants because none of us have jobs, we will be soon enough. On the brightside, Men's Health doesn't consider St. Pete the overall worst city for men. It's only the 6th worst. Oh, and Tampa, don't think you have bragging rights. You're not doing so hot, either (and neither are you, Miami, Jacksonville, and Orlando).

Let's face it: It's easy to dismiss these lists. They get published so often it's hard to take any of them seriously. However, Tampa Bay consistently ranks low. Why? I'm not sure at all, but here's what I think:

Name = Nine

In the midst of plenty to keep me busy, I'm also developing my personal site. Seems a little selfish, doesn't it? Yes, but it's the most straightforward way for me to show off previous projects that have nothing to do with Ninth North. Plus, it's another site to design and develop.
I've been busy here at Ninth North International Worldwide, but I have found a little bit of time to get even busier. That's right. Sarah Jo and I are making a baby.
In preparation for unveiling what <del>could</del> will be our best collaboration ever, I took some time out of my busy production schedule at Ninth North and developed invitations to SJ's second baby shower.
Well hello, humans. It's been a busy Monday at Ninth North HQ, but it finally feels like we're getting somewhere. Progress on our own site is going well and it will launch... soon. Really soon. In the meantime, I thought I'd tease you with an ongoing project. You may have figured out what it might involve based on the headline and/or image above. If not, I can tell you this much:

It involves bicycles. It involves sharing. And it's going to be awesome.

It's exciting stuff, and I'll have more to show you shortly. Until then, hop on your own bicycle and enjoy the cool(er) weather we've been having here in Tampa Bay.

Thank you, Steve.

The world has suffered a huge loss today: Steve Jobs has passed on.
